Shining a Light on Seniors
The annual Senior Hall of Fame awards ceremony preserves and fosters an appreciation for senior volunteers by honoring a select group of volunteers, 62 years of age or older, in the city of St. Petersburg for their significant contributions toward enriching the quality of life for others.
Those chosen for induction are role models for leading meaningful, vibrant lives, and their compelling stories demonstrate their commitments to causes, organizations and to our community at large.
The Sunshine Center, hosts of the annual Senior Hall of Fame awards, is a nationally accredited multiservice center where seniors gather for support, socialization, fitness and other services provided for older people. The resources and activities available at this center help many older people remain a vital part of their communities.
It’s the Sunshine Center’s mission to celebrate aging by partnering with the community to provide creative programming, advocacy and resources that promote vitality, independence and wellness for adults ages 55 or better.
