NEW DATE & TIME! Santa Parade & Christmas Tree Lighting
Kick off the holidays in the Sunshine City when Santa comes to town and Mayor Kriseman lights up the waterfront! Our annual Santa Parade is on a NEW DATE and NEW TIME, Saturday, November 24 at 5:30p.m. Parade begins at Albert Whitted Park and runs Bayshore Dr. and 5th Ave. NE. The Tree Lighting will be immediately follow the Santa Parade at 8 p.m. in North Straub Park. Stay after the Santa Parade and Tree Lighting to enjoy entertainment, children’s activities, music and more in the park. Food concessions will be available. Blanket seating. Free to the public. Santa in North Straub Park
Free visits with Santa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 1 and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. December 6 - 9 and 13 - 23. Cameras welcomed.

Our ever popular Snowfest celebration will be on Saturday, December 1 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m in North Straub Park. Activities include a big and kiddie toboggan slide, art tent, karaoke, moonwalk, giant slide and a Kiddyland area designed especially for preschoolers with inflatable train and more. Wristbands are $5 and are required for all activities. Save time from waiting in line, purchase wristbands in advance, from November 19 through November 30, at any St. Petersburg recreation center.

We are excited to bring REAL ICE SKATING to Albert Whitted Park! Dates & times to be announced soon!

Holiday Movies in the Park
Bring your blanket or lawn chairs to settle in for a holiday movie in Vinoy Park at 5th Avenue NE. It’s sure to be a fun evening for the entire family. Movie start at 7 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. Movie lineup:
December 7 – The Christmas Story
December 14 – The Santa Clause
December 21 – Santa Paws.

Waterfront Lights and Display
While you stroll along waterfront, see thousands of holiday lights and decorations in North Straub Park, South Straub Park, Pioneer Park, Al Lang Park and Albert Whitted Park from Saturday, November 24, through Tuesday, January 1. Don’t miss the giant greeting card display along Bayshore Dr. at Vinoy Park made by local teens from St. Petersburg’s recreation centers. Lights and decorations by City of St. Petersburg’s Parks and Recreation Department..
