Children's Plant Fair

There is a world of learning in the Garden!

Children can learn a lot from growing plants. They learn to be responsible and patient while caring for a tiny seed as it grows into a plant. They discover self-satisfaction in raising something beautiful. The simple act of digging and planting also helps physical development, strengthening both gross and fine motor skills. Most importantly, gardening is a great way for parents and children to bond together in the great outdoors.

Children from pre-school to fifth grade can participate in the Children’s Plant Fair. It’s easy.

Step 1: Grow one or more plants or trees in a container.

Step 2: Bring your plant and registration card for “Show and Tell” to the festival between 10 am and 3 pm on Saturday or Sunday. Children will show their plant and give any information about the fun in growing plants. Each participant will receive a “Goody Bag.” The first 100 participants each day will also receive a free t-shirt.
